Kitfox Lite Project Site

All assembly and fabric work is basically complete. Next step will be to do the paint work. This effort will be headed up by Ross Gresley. We may do the paint work at Ed Castonguay's hangar at Long Island but before we commit to that, it has been suggested that we investigate another paint booth available at Lake Norman airport. Contact has not yet been made with this owner, Dan McCann, as he appears to be out of town. We do have to make a decision on the paint color scheme. A final recommendation is awaited from the build team. Tomorrow night? The kit has come in significantly above the 254 lb Ultralight weight limit so we plan to register it as an Experimental. We need to check the weight before paint at the next build session. When the paint work is complete, we will be ready to do final check assembly, test run the engine and proceed with registration, airworthiness inspection, etc.
